Abstract La Parrilla is a tungsten and tin mine located in western Spain. The tailings facility has total capacity for 3 Mm will be executed four different phases. main constraint the design construction of dam that it been constructed over an existing one from 1980s. activities involved removal substitution old southern portion facility, ground improvement with gravel columns area about 10,000 m 2 , dyke’s dam. This article describes aspects, including monitoring, until dam’s completion June 2019.
